To design an affordable housing subdivision is to shift your attention from design to manufacturing and fabrication. Everything has to be lean and reproducible, but without sacrificing craft and materiality (meaning that the qualitative nature of the materials used should be showcased in the day to day experience of the user).

The images above are a work in progress, engineering stage to further validate the details for standardization and industrialization, but, above all, still preserving the user experience and sensory qualities of a “home.”
