We are happy to share this COVID-19 response design strategy checklist. This document started as an effort to get the ball rolling to:

a) collect or ideate new advocacies and build up a reference list to quickly capture all the rapidly changing requirements needed for COVID-19 responsive design,

b) provide the design and building management community an avenue to share and obtain ideas as we undergo an emerging paradigm shift in our built environs under the COVID-19 pandemic, and, with high hopes that the continual content curation of this document may lead to, as we add more and more relevant information that are available,

c) contribute to the formulation of better policies to welcome the “new normal.”

It’s an ongoing effort and I hope everyone who reads this can benefit from this.

Hi, I'm Carl, an architect, urban planner, and green building professional. After working in top development companies in the Philippines for more than 13 years, I founded FYI Design Studio in June 2015. Although we started on a shoestring budget, we were deeply imbedded in our commitment to provide design solutions that are contextual, appropriate, and environmentally responsible. The team has evolved since then through countless ideation sessions and project experiences, nothing short of revelatory and enlightening for everyone involved. Nonetheless our commitment remains. Come with me and join us in our journey. This is the story of a tiny little firm. For project inquiries, please email me carlsaycon@fyidesignstudio.com.
