To counterbalance the stresses of a demanding academic life inside a boarding school, the dorm must be the respite for the students to regain their strength and composure. This design project maintains a specific set of qualities to promote psychological well-being whether through the reintroduction of nature indoors and along the building envelope (green facades, garden atriums, vertical forests, or planted terraces) or a lounge space where they can unwind or through a specific material and color palette around the building that exudes warmth and relaxation.
